I. Applicant Eligibility
1. Applicants must be citizens from 5 Central Asian states, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and have valid foreigner’s passport. Being friendly to China and being in good health is also of great importance.
2. Good conduct, law-abiding, diligent and studious, with no illegal or criminal record in their country.
3. Applicants should have a diploma of senior high school with an age under 25. (Pre-graduation certificate can be provided if students have not graduated at the time of application, but a high school diploma must be obtained at the latest before registration.)
4. Average score no less then 70% of the full mark.
II. Scholarship Content
1. Exempt from paying tuition fee, hostel fee, insurance fee, residence permit fee, physical examination fee, textbook fee and International travel cost.
2. Living stipend: ¥18000/year/person.
3. 1 year foundation program + 4 years undergraduate program.
Note: All students are required to participate in the annual review. Students whose comprehensive performance at school are assessed and meet the standards can continue to enjoy the scholarship.

V .Application Procedure
1. Applicants check the major list of our university.
2. Apply at: https://is.chd.edu.cn
Choose “Xi’an Municipal Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship”.
Fill in the personal information and submit the required materials on application system.
3. Pay 400RMB application fee on the application system after passing preliminary review. No matter being admitted or not, the application fee will not be returned.
4. After you go through all the application procedures, please pay attention to your application system and email box. The application status, review suggestions and final admission list will be released then.
Ⅵ. Application Materials
1. Valid international passport.
If the applicant is in China, valid residence permit is also required.
2. Highest diploma. The applicant can submit Pre-graduation Certificate if he/she is an on-campus student. Pre-graduation Certificate should indicate accurate month and year of graduation. Students should take original certificate when they register in September in China.
3. Transcripts.
4. Physical Examination Record for Foreigners.
Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the Physical Examination Records for Foreigners and fill them out in Chinese or English. The “Physical
Examination Record for Foreigners” that is missing pages, not affixed with a photo or without a cross-page seal on it, or without a signature or seal from hospital or physician is invalid. Whereas the inspection results are valid in 6 months, applicants are requested to determine the time of their medical examination accordingly.
5. Non-criminal record.
When submitting the application, the non-criminal record certificate must be valid; If the applicant is already in China, he/she can only provide performance letter or Non-objection certificate from current university.
6. Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship Application Form. The scholarship type should be TYPE A. The signature should be handwritten or electronic.Please refer to the annual Admission Notice to fill in the study duration.
7. Recommendation letter in English from current school (with the official seal).
8. Study Plan in China should be in English or Chinese, no less than 600 words.
9. Proof of language proficiency (HSK or Chinese language certificate) is not mandatory, but preference will be given to applicant with this certificate. Students who apply for majors in School of Humanities must submit HSK 3≥180. Applicants who apply for School of Humanities must have HSK 5≥180 after completing the preparatory course of Chinese language. Applicants who apply for other schools must have HSK 4≥180 after completing the preparatory course of Chinese language.
10. Students under 18 yeas old need to submit letter of authorization.
11. Other certificates of achievements.

Chinese or English translation copy is mandatory if original file is not in Chinese/English/French/Spanish.
Ⅶ. Admission and Enrollment
1. Admission will be given to the outstanding candidates based on the comprehensive review results of application documents, interview etc.
2. Applicants should fill in correct email, telephone and mailing address. During the admission period, applicants must reply to email in time. Applicants who fail to respond to the email in time or fail to submit supplementary materials as required within the specified time will be considered as a waiver.
3. Once admitted, students are not allowed to change major, medium of instruction or giving up qualification.
4. The school issues Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to China (JW202) to the students admitted for the purpose of applying for study visa in China.
5. Admitted students are required to register in strict accordance with the requirements of the admission notice. The registration time is subject to the requirements of the admission notice. Upon registration, the original graduation certificate and language proficiency certificate will be checked again. Those who fail to provide the certificate or fail to pass the certificate examination will be disqualified from admission.
6. Students who fail the physical examination or fail to register on time without permission will be disqualified from the scholarship.
7. Once verified commit fraud, the applicant will be disqualified from applying for university or be expelled from university.
