Q2：在线申请系统提交申请后，什么时候可以付费？
After submitting the application online, when should I pay the application fee?
A：通过初审后，在申请主界面右端的Online Payment中会有付费信息，届时按要求缴费即可。初审一般需要3-5个工作日，高峰期或有所迟滞，敬请谅解。
When you pass the preliminary review, you will find your payment information in Online Payment, which is on the right side of the mainpage. The preliminary review usually takes 3-5 working days, and it may take longer time during the peak. We’ll appreciate your patience.
Q3：申请CSC奖学金的学生是否需要缴纳600元申请费？
I am a CSC applicant, and do I need to pay 600RMB application fee?
A：是的。申请CSC奖学金的学生需要完成CSC网站的申报流程外，还需要在CAU申请平台完成申请。我校申请平台申请费为600人民币，且
予退还。
Exactly. The applicants who apply for CSC Scholarship need to complete the application on both CSC website and CAU online application system. We require 600 CNY for completion of the application and it is non-refundable.
Q4: 是否需要提交纸质版的申请材料？
Do I need to send hard copies of application materials?
A：不需要，我校已全面实行在线申请。申请者只需要按照要求在我校申请平台中填写并提交符合要求的申请材料即可。
No. Our school has fully implemented online application from 2020. Applicants only need to fill in and submit application materials that meet our requirements in our school’sapplication platform.
Q5：申请的截止日期是什么时候？
When is the deadline for application?
A: 2023 CSC奖学金申请截止时间：2025年3月31日
注：此处指TypeB，TypeA需咨询各国使馆。
2025一带一路”奖学金申请截止时间：2025年5月31日
自费项目申请截止时间：2025年6月15日
非学位进修申请截止时间：2023年6月15日
March 31st, 2025 for CSC Scholarship application
May 31st, 2025 for “The Belt and Road” Scholarship application
15th June, 2025 for self-funded and non-degree application
Note: The CSC program here refers to Type B. Type A information should be in accordance with the notice of embassy.

Where can I find the majors opening to international students?
A：登录长安大学国际教育学院官方网站http://ies.chd.edu.cn/en/，在招生信息栏目中可以找到各项目的专业列表。

Q7：我目前还在学校学习，还没拿到毕业证，可以申请吗？
I’ve not graduated yet. Can I apply ?
A：当然可以。你可以上传一份预毕业证明。如被录取，9月份报到时需补交正式毕业证及学位证。
Yes. If the applicant is a student on campus, pre-graduation certification must be submitted. If you are accepted, you are supposed to submit an official degree certificate and diploma when you register in September.
Q8：我没有雅思或者托福证书，我该怎么办？
I don’t have IELTS or TOEFL certificate. What should I do?
A：如果你来自母语或官方语言是英语的国家，你不需要提供语言成绩就可以申请英文授课。对于非英语国家学生，我校一般不接受语言机构开具的英语水平证明，可选择参加DUOLINGO在线语言考试。
If you are from English-speaking countries, you are free to apply for English-taught programs without any certificates. For those who are from non-English-speaking countries, basically we don’t recognize any language certificate from language training institution, you may take a language test by DUOLINGO online test.
Q9：我有英文授课经历，可以不用考雅思吗？
I finished my previous study in English medium. Can I be exempted from providing the IELTS result?
A：可以。有英文授课经历的学生可以免除雅思、托福等英语能力证明，但是需提供当前学校开具的英文授课语言证明。
Certainly yes. Students once studied in English medium can be exempted from providing the IELTS or TOEFL certificate. However, an English medium study certificate issued by your current school is needed.
Q10： 我今年未满18岁，可以申请吗？
I am under 18 by now, can I apply?
A：可以。未满18岁，需要额外的监护手续。包括父母、本人、在华委托人的身份信息，父母的委托书，在华委托人的担保证明，并做公证。
Yes. For those who are under 18, it needs extra documents of custody, including the ID information of parents, his/her own, and trustee in China, and a letter of authorization from parents, and a receiving letter from the trustee. All documents above should be notarized.
Q11：无犯罪记录证明有什么要求？
What are the requirements for a non-criminal record?
A：学生在提交无犯罪记录证明时需要保证其预留两个月的有效期，以进行后续流程（若无特殊标注，无犯罪记录证明一般有效期为6个月）。证明中的信息应与护照保持一致，并由当地警署或使馆盖章认证。此外，还应提供其中文翻译件。私自改动者，一经发现，不予录取。
Students should ensure that it still has a two-month period of validity when submitting the non-criminal record (It’s generally valid for 6 months only). In addition, it must be stamped by local police station or embassy. Chinese version of the non-criminal record is also needed. Modification without permission will not be tolerated.
Q12：我目前已经在中国学习，需要提供无犯罪记录证明吗？
I am studying in China. Do I need to provide non- criminal record certificate?
A：是的，也需要提供无犯罪记录证明，你可以去所在地派出所开具。
Yes. You may go to the local police to get the non- criminal record certificate.
Q13：我在我们国家，请问什么时候可以拿到签证申请表？
I am in my home country now. When can I get my jw form?
A：被录取的新生会在收到录取邮件后1-2周内收到电子版录取材料。
The students who got admitted will receive the e-copy of admission materials in 1-2 weeks after receiving the admission email.
Q14：导师接收函是否是必要文件？
Is conditional acceptance letter mandatory?
A：对于申请CSC奖学金项目的学生来说，所有的硕博士申请者都要联系到导师获取接收函。对于申请校奖或者自费学习的硕博士申请者来说，如果能获得导师接收函，将被优先考虑录取。
For students who apply for CSC, all master and doctor applicants need to upload acceptance letter. For students who apply for presidential scholarship or self-sponsored study, if they can acquire acceptance letter, then they will be considered in priority.
Q15：推荐信是否是申请的必要文件？
Is recommendation letter mandatory?
A：是的。两封教授或者副教授的推荐信是申请硕士和博士项目的必要文件。推荐信应当为中文或者英文。
Exactly. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors are mandatory requirement for master and doctor applicants. It should be in Chinese or English.
Q16：我想学汉语，我有什么项目可以选择？
I want to learn Chinese. What programs can I apply for?
A：我们提供灵活时长的语言培训，几个月或者一年都可以。此外，我们还有1-4周的短期文化体验项目，10人即可开班。
We offer flexible language training over few months or 1 year. In addition, we also have short-term cultural experience programs for 1-4 weeks, and 10 people can start classes.
Q17：我学过一些汉语，想提升汉语水平，应该如何申请？
I have learned some Chinese, and I want to improve it, so how can I apply?
A：一般情况下，长安大学不接受已经在中国读了一年语言转学继续读语言的学生。如果是在本国读的语言，想继续强化，那么按照正常程序申请，入校后汉语中心将根据申请人的实际汉语水平进行测试，分班。
Basically, we don’t enroll those who have got studied language course for 1 year in China and continue to study language course in CAU. For those who studied Chinese language in their own countries before, please just apply according to the procedures as normal. After registration, CAU Chinese Language Centre will conduct a test and divide classes according to your actual Chinese proficiency.
Q18：我现在在中国，我的签证快要过期了，我能提前去长安大学报到吗？
I am now in China, my visa is going to expire, can I go to Chang’an University in advance?
A：为了规范管理，我校不接受提前报到，请在当前学习签证到期后，持录取通知书自行延长停留签证至报到日期。请确保你在中国的停留是合法的。另外，根据西安市出入境规定，我校不接收由探亲、工作等其他类型签证转为学习签证的申请。
To standardize management, we don’t allow students to come in advance. After your current X visa expired, please apply for a T visa. Make sure your stay in China is legal. In addition, according to Xi'an's entry-exit regulations, we don't accept application for changing from other types of visa to study visa.
Q19：我的护照快过期了,请问有影响吗？
My passport will expire soon, does it influence my application?
A：原则上，护照自入学之日起有效期须在半年以上，且注册报到前不能更新护照。
In principle, Students must hold a passportvalid for more than half a year from the registration date, and renewing passport in advance is prohibited.
Q20：如果我申请中国政府奖学金没有被录取，我还有别的机会吗？我具体需要做什么？
If I am not selected by CSC, do I have other choices? What should I do?
A：申请中国政府奖学金没有被录取可以选择转申一带一路奖学金，不用重复缴纳申请费。我们会将你的材料退回，如果你愿意转申，请将申请项目改成一带一路奖学金，然后再根据个人学习计划修改其他信息，之后重新提交，我们将重新进行校奖评审。
Students who are not selected by CSC can apply for One Belt One Road scholarship, and there is no need to pay twice for it. We will return your application, and if you are willing to apply for it, you should change CSC program to self-sponsor program. Then, you can adjust other information according to your study plan, and resubmit. We will review if you meet the scholarship requirements or not.
Q21：录取材料怎么发放？
How do I receive my admission documents?
A：所有录取材料都会通过邮件发送至注册时的邮箱。收到邮件后按照邮件内容下载录取邮件即可。确保注册时的邮件准确且在用。
All admission materials will be sent via email to the address provided when create the application account. Upon receiving the email, please follow the instructions to download the admission letter. Ensure that the email address used for registration is accurate and active.
Q22:请问什么时候可以来中国上课？
A：参考Q13，新老生都可以在拿到录取通知书后尽快申请来华签证入境。
Referring to Q13 , both old and new students can apply for visa and enter China as soon as receiving admission letter.
Q23:学生能否自主选择公寓房间类型和舍友？
Can I choose the room type (single/double room) and roommates?
A:一般情况下，本科生和硕士生住双人间，优秀博士生优先安排单人间。一般由学校直接分配舍友，也可以自主选择，入住后有一次调换房间的机会。
Basically, undergraduate and master students live in double rooms, and excellent doctoral students are given priority for single room accommodations. As for roommates, it is normally allocated by IES. But you can choose your roommates if you are willing to. You have a chance to change your room after check in.
Q24:学生能否申请校外住宿？
Can I apply for off-campus accommodation?
A:可以申请校外住宿，需要提供住宿合同复印件，并在24小时内做好临住登记，及时告知相关负责老师。
You can apply for off-campus accommodation. A copy of the accommodation contract should be provided, and the temporary accommodation registration should be completed within 24 hours. Meanwhile, you should inform the teacher responsible for accommodation in time.
Q25:学生能否更改授课语言？
Can I change the medium of instruction?
A:授课语言以录取通知书为准，不得随意更换。若情况特殊，可在取得相应语言成绩之后，向学院提出申请。
The medium of instruction should be subject to the admission letter and cannot be changed. If you have some special reasons, you can apply to the IES after getting required language certificate.
Q26:学生能否更改专业？
Can I change my major?
A:在申请过程中，可以更改申请专业。但被录取后，原则上不允许更换专业，请在申请时即确定学习计划。因特殊原因确需更改专业，需经过原学院和新学院同意，并向国际学院教务办公室提交申请。
In the process of reviewing, changing major is allowed. Once get admitted, it is prohibited. Thus, please confirm your study plan before submitting your application. Those who have special reasons can submit an application to IES academic affairs office after acquiring agreement from current school and new school.
