Ⅱ. Application Eligibility
1.Nationality Requirements:
(1) Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign ordinary passport.
(2) Applicants must meet the relevant regulations stipulated in the Ministry of Education's "Notice on Regulating the Enrollment of International Students by Higher Education Institutions" and other related documents.
2.General Requirements:
(1) Applicants should be under 35 years old, be in good health (free from infectious diseases and physical or mental conditions that affect normal study), have excellent academic performance and moral character, be friendly towards China, and have no criminal record.
(2) Applicants must have completed an undergraduate program and obtained a bachelor's degree, with all subjects on the transcript having a passing grade or above. Students who have not yet received their bachelor's graduation certificate and degree certificate must provide a Pre-graduation Certificate.
(3) Applicants are not permitted to simultaneously hold two or more student statuses at Chinese universities.

1..All scholarship awards are subject to annual review. These reviews are conducted in a spirit of transparency, fairness, and impartiality, aimed at motivating students to pursue academic excellence and fostering a positive learning environment. Scholarships may be revoked or the award amount reduced for students who do not meet the review standards. All scholarships are reassessed on a yearly basis according to the student's performance and conduct.The living stipends forXi’an Municipal“The Belt and Road” Scholarship and CHU Presidential Scholarshipare are only provided for the first year. The living stipend for the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship is provided for the first two years.
2.Applicants eligible for the Chinese Government Scholarship are advised to prioritize applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship Type A program through relevant departments in their home country or Chinese embassies or consulates abroad. For application eligibility, requirements, procedures, materials, agency codes, and types of Chinese Government Scholarship sub-programs, please consult the relevant departments in home country or the Chinese embassies/consulates. Contact information for Chinese embassies/consulates can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China: https://www.fmprc.gov.cn/web/.
3.Applicants for the CSC Type B program should note:
(1)The first batch is limited to master's and doctoral degrees, with no restrictions on majors and a larger number of spots, offering a higher chance of receiving the scholarship.
(2)The second batch is expected to include majors such as Transportation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Civil Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, etc.
【If not selected in the first batch, applicants can still participate in the second batch. Therefore, all students are recommended to prioritize applying for the first batch.】
4.The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (TFSU) program is only available for the major of International Chinese Education.

Note: Each program has a limited number of available quota. If the enrollment quota is filled before the deadline, the application portal may close earlier accordingly.
Ⅴ.Application Procedure
Applicants must log in to the Chang'an University International Student Application System (https://is.chd.edu.cn/) during the application period to fill out the application form, submit application materials, and pay the application fee.
Ⅵ. Application Materials
All application materials and information provided by applicants must be authentic, accurate and fully complete. Otherwise, the applicant will be disqualified for application, enrollment or study.
1.Scanned copy of the personal information page of a valid ordinary passport.
The passport must be valid until March 1, 2027, or later. If it does not meet this requirement, please renew it in advance. Passport information cannot be changed before registration. Applicants currently residing in China must also provide a scanned copy of their current valid visa or residence permit page.
2.Undergraduate graduation certificate and degree certificate (Current students may submit a Pre-graduation Certificate issued by their institution).
3.Undergraduate academic transcripts (covering all courses).
Prospective graduates must provide transcripts of all undergraduate courses completed to date.
4.Language proficiency.
5.Study and Research Plan in China (written in Chinese or English, approximately 800 words).
6.Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Download: https://ies.chd.edu.cn/2024/0511/c8017a242539/page.htm).
Applicants must strictly follow the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form for the medical examination and fill it out in Chinese or English. The form is invalid if any page is missing, if it lacks a photo stamped with a seam seal, or if it lacks the hospital's official stamp or the physician's signature. Please note the physical examination results are valid for 6 months. Applicants should schedule their examination accordingly.
7.Non-criminal Record Certificate.
Applicants must submit a valid Non-criminal Record Certificate issued by the local public security authorities, typically issued within 6 months prior to the application date.
8.Two recommendation letters signed by (associate) professors.
9.Supervisor Acceptance Letter (not mandatory, but applicants who submit one will be considered for priority admission) (Download: https://ies.chd.edu.cn/2021/0112/c8017a180906/page.htm).
10.Self-funded students must provide a valid bank deposit certificate showing a balance of no less than 50000 RMB or the equivalent in foreign currency.
11.Academic achievements, awards certificates for cultural/sports activities (if any).
Notes:
1.All the above application documents must be in Chinese or English. Documents in other languages must be accompanied by notarized translations.
2.All application materials are processed and reviewed through the online application system. Please DO NOT mail paper application materials or send materials via email. Any materials submitted in paper form or via email will not be processed.

2.Payment Method
(1) The application fee can only be paid on the application system.
(2) Tuition and accommodation fees are only accepted upon on-site registration; cash is not accepted.
3.Important Notes
All fees mentioned above are non-refundable once paid.

Instructions for Application System
(1)Please fill in the passport name (surname and given name exactly as shown on the passport's personal information page, ensuring the correct placement of surname and given name. If the passport does not surname or given name, leave blank), passport number, and passport expiry date accordingly. (Only ordinary passports with an expiry date of March 1, 2027, or later are accepted.)
(2)Please completely fill in all educational and work experiences from high school up to the time of application in chronological order.
(3)Parent information in the "Family Information" section is mandatory.
(4)The "Guarantorin China" refers to a contact person or organization within China for matters related to the applicant during their study period in China. If unavailable, please provide the relevant information of your country's embassy or consulate in China.
2. Document Upload Requirements
(1)All uploaded materials must be color scans of the original documents (in PDF or JPG format).
(2)The "ID Photo" must be a recent, front-facing, color, bareheaded passport-style photo. (Do not upload black-and-white photos, artistic photos, selfies, or other non-standard photos).
3. Admission Process
(1)The university will review applications in batches based on the order of submission. Scholarship results will be notified via the email address registered in the application system. Applicants are advised to keep their email accessible.
(2)Scholarship recipients cannot simultaneously receive funding from other scholarship programs established by the Chinese government at any level or by Chinese universities. The university will strictly enforce eligibility reviews in accordance with relevant regulations.
(3)Once admitted, applicants may not request changes to student status information such as the assigned university, level of study, major, medium of instruction, or duration of study.
