Notice on Applying for 2023-2024 Chang’an University Xi'an Municipal Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship（Fall Semester）

I. Applicant Eligibility

1. Applicants must be citizens from 5 Central Asian states, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and have valid foreigner’s passport. Being friendly to China and being in good health is also of great importance.

2. Good conduct, law-abiding, diligent and studious, with no illegal or criminal record in their country.

3. Applicants should have a diploma equivalent to senior high school in China with an age under 25. A recommendation letter from current school is also needed.

4. After completing the preparatory course of Chinese language, applicants must have HSK score of more than 180.

II. Scholarship Content

1. Exempt from paying registration fee, tuition fee, hostel fee, insurance fee, residence permit fee, physical examination fee, textbook fee.

2. International travel cost is supported.

3. Living stipend: ￥18000/year.

4. 1 year foundation program + 4 years undergraduate program.

5. Medium of instruction: Chinese.

IV .Application Procedure

1. Applicants check the major list of our university.

2. Apply at: https://is.chd.edu.cn

  Choose “Xi’an Municipal Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship”.

  Fill in the personal information and submit the required materials.

3. Materials required:

(1) Copy of Valid Ordinary Passport;

If the applicant is in China, a copy of a valid residence permit is also required.

(2) The highest degree certificate;

(3) Transcripts;

(4) Physical Examination Record for Foreigners;

Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the Physical Examination Records for Foreigners and fill them out in Chinese or English. The “Physical Examination Record for Foreigners” that is missing pages, not affixed with a photo or without a seam seal on it, or without a signature or seal from hospital or physician is invalid. Whereas the inspection results are valid in six months, applicants are requested to determine the time of their medical examination accordingly.

(5) The original copy of the non-criminal record and the Chinese translation；

When submitting the application, the validity period of the non-criminal record certificate must be valid in three months or more; if the applicant is already in China, who must provide certificate of school performance.

(6) The original copy of COVID-19 vaccination proof and Chinese translation ;

(Students applying for entry must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine and its Chinese translation.

(7) Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship Application Form https://ies.chd.edu.cn/8017/list.htm.

(8) Recommendation letter in English from your current school (with the official seal);

(9) Study Plan in China;

(10) Other certificates of achievements.

4. Pay ￥400 application fee on the application system after passing preliminary review.

5. After you go through all the application procedures, please pay attention to your email box and the official website of International Education School of Chang 'an University. The final admission list will be released in due course.

Notes:

a. The Materials not meet the requirements will not be accepted;

b. The Materials in other languages must be notarized in Chinese or English.

c. Students who apply for “Xi’an Municipal Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship” but fail to be selected can choose to be our candidates of “CAU Xi'an Municipal One Belt One Road Scholarship” (no foundation program) without reapplication and payment if meeting language requirements.
