Principles and procedures for deferred exams:
1.The approval principles of application for deferred exams
Only in one of the following situations can a student’s application for deferred exams be approved: examination scheduling conflict, two consecutive exams in different campuses, convalescence or treatment due to illness, or other serious incidents leading to missed exams.
2.Processing principles for exam scheduling conflict
In the case of exam scheduling conflict, student should first take exams of public courses and regular courses according to their teaching plan. Deferred exams should be arranged for retaken course and other irregular situations such as graduation in advance and exchange study.
3.The procedures for deferred exams
Student should write an application for deferral. If ill, they can entrust a classmate to submit it. The application should be handed over to the teaching secretary of his or her school and approved by the school Dean or Vice Dean who is in charge of teaching.
4.Content requirement of application
In order to facilitate student to apply for deferred exams, the format of application is not regulated, but the following contents should be included: name, student number, school, grade, major, course sequence number, name of instructor, reason ( in detail; if due to ills, a copy of the medical certificate is needed ), phone number, personal signature, application date.
